Here’s an event where we were brought in to provide lighting and effects by Hammond School for the auction event held at SC State Museum in Columbia, SC. The event catering was provided by Southern Way Catering. The professional parking services were provided by Southern Valet & Transportation. Furnishings were provided by Party Reflections. Bartending services were provided by Black Tie Bartending. Additional audio and video services were provided by Sound and Images.
The lighting effects were as follows:
- WEST LOBBY:
Hang burlap drape and fronds on beams each side of door (drape and fronds provided by client)
Up-lighting for burlap tree with fronds (burlap and fronds provided by client)
Hang white spandex above doorway for special presentation (spandex provided by client)
Pattern effect light onto spandex over doorway (dual rotating gobo)
Up-lighting on perimeter drape and walls (includes 2nd floor drapes)
Up-lighting on Maori poles (incandescent, n/c, location TBD)
Pattern projection onto 2nd floor drape wall (green and white fern patterns, floor base on 2nd floor)
Hang big wreath chandelier under beam structure, over bar
Add mini-lights to wreath (wreath provided by client)
Edison bulb tails hanging from wreath (could be a blend of vintage bulbs)
Install bamboo and palm fronds on legs of beam structure (bamboo and fronds)
Up-lighting on bamboo around beam
Blue & Green Fantasy effect projected onto high wall beyond beam structure (+ controller)
Hang and power 6 small glass chandeliers over coat check area (chandeliers provided by client)
Spotlighting for mural at stairs
LED pedestal lights for tall sea glass vases on food table
AC drops for food stations at stairs
Hang bulb tails w/bamboo lanterns from ceiling between stairwell and ETV (Edison bulbs, bamboo
lanterns provided by client)
Up-lighting for acrylic bar (green)
- EAST LOBBY:
Cafe Style String lights swagged in ceiling from check-in to planetarium (8 x 50′ WHT C7 folded
w/green, blue, and clear, dimming)
Focus existing track spots onto stage (gel maybe needed
Up-lighting on Maori poles left & right of stage and cross section (n/c)
Up-lighting on wall behind mountain range silhouette (blue)
Trace mountain ridge with rope light (1/2″ x 50′)
Hang and power (6) 30″ grapevine balls w/mini-lights above farm tables left and right of stage (3 per
side, lanterns provided by client)
Up-lighting for acrylic bar (incandescent R90 green)
Hang bulb tails w/bamboo lanterns above acrylic bar (Edison bulbs, bamboo lanterns provided by
client)
Hang bulb tails w/bamboo lanterns in doorway leading to planetarium (Edison bulbs, bamboo
lanterns provided by client)
Crystal bead curtain w/H20 light to create abstract waterfall on wall between doors leading into
planetarium (4 crystal columns over drape)
PLANETARIUM:
Moving tall waterfall projected onto planetarium (2 x 3000L projectors stacked, custom waterfall
video loop)
Fern leaves projected onto planetarium each side of video waterfall
Hang burlap drape and palm fronds on window truss (drape and fronds provided by client)
Up-lighting for burlap tree with palm fronds on window truss (burlap and fronds provided by client)
Up-lighting on drape walls and planetarium (med blue)
Up-lighting for 8′ acrylic bar (blue)
